First Core Group meeting was held on 26.06.06, where a discussion paper titled “Flood Management Strategies, Guidelines & Action Plan” was studied to formulate the action plan. Second Core Group Meeting took place on 25.08.06. Minutes of the first Core Group meeting held on 29.06.06 was circulated along with the invitation letter to the members of the Group.

In context to 3-4 mitigation studies in end-to-end fashion on rivers erosion, urban flooding, threat perception, early warning system etc., NDMA has initialized the process for formulation of mitigation studies.
