To enhance the preparedness for floods, National Disaster Management conducted an online Incident Response System (IRS) Training and Table Top Exercise for the State of Kerala.

A meeting was held on 28th December 2022 under the chairmanship of Shri. Kamal Kishore, Member & Secretary (I/C), NDMA Shri. Kamal Kishore to discuss and deliberate upon the Technical Cooperation Project proposal titled “Enhancing Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience building capacities of North Eastern States of India under the ODA scheme of Govt. of Japan. 

7th Steering Committee meeting for CAP Project was held on 23 Dec 2022 at NDMA Bhawan New Delhi to discuss and deliberate upon the implementation and current status of the CAP Project along with following up on the integrated Proof of Concept and SMS Tariff for CAP platform.

The 25th Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting of National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project (NCRMP) was held under the chairmanship of Shri. Kamal Kishore, Member and Secretary (I/C) at NDMA Bhawan.

Senior officials from National Disaster Management Authority held a meeting with the Google Team to discuss and deliberate upon the integration with Google in the CAP platform was held on 20th December, 2022 under the chairmanship of Shri Kamal Kishore, Member and Secretary In-charge NDMA

National Disaster Management Authority in collaboration with National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) organised two day training on Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR). The aim of the training was to equip the Consultants and Nodal officials of DM Department to support State Government in implementing Sendai Framework for DRR and monitoring the progress.

 The key objectives include:
1. To take stock of the progress of implementation of SFDRR and challenges in the process.
2. To brief about the tools and approaches to support states in implementing the Sendai Framework for DRR. This includes State Level SDMPs, DRR Road Map, and Departmental Plans etc.
3. To develop understanding about the Scope and Process of carrying out Mid Term Review(MTR) of Sendai Framework for DRR including the information and data required for MTR.
4. To develop skills on maintaining data on the NDMIS SFM Module and user admin at state level.

National Disaster Management Authority conducted an Orientation and Coordination Conference as a prelude to the State-level Mock Exercise on Floods Scenario for Kerala which was later conducted on 27th & 29th December 2022. Representatives of various districts and stakeholders attended the meeting.

Senior officers of National Disaster Management Authority held a meeting with the officers of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MOEF&CC), and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for the Project Drafting Committee (PDC) - ' National Project on Forest Fire Management; discussed & deliberated on the operational framework of the National Project.

National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in collaboration with the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), Guwahati, organised a workshop on 'Mid-Term Review & Documentation of Best Practices, Lessons Learnt, and Success Stories under Upscaling of Aapda Mitra Scheme.'
The workshop aimed at providing a common platform for the participants to share their experiences, best practices, lessons learnt, exchange success stories etc. during the implementation of the scheme
