November 30-1st December 2022 3rd Regional Conclave of the SDMA’s (Indo-Gangetic States/UTs), Lucknow

The 3rd Regional Conclave of the State Disaster Management Authorities (Indo-Gangetic States/UTs) was organised at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Shri.Yogi Adityanath, Hon’ble Chief Minister, UP graced the occasion, delivered the inaugural address and launched the UP Flood Hazard Atlas .The states of Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Haryana, NCT of Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal participated in the conclave.

November 30 , 2022 Conduct of State- Level Mock Exercise on Floods in Maharashtra
|
To enhance the preparedness for floods, National Disaster Management Authority conducted an online Incident Response System (IRS) Training and Table Top Exercise for the State of Maharashtra.

November 28 , 2022 Visit to SDRF, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
|
Shri. Rajendra Singh, Member, National Disaster Management Authority paid a visit to SDRF, Lucknow and graced the Raising Day Ceremony of SDRF, UP as the Chief Guest. He also interacted with the 416 Aapda Mitra volunteers and visited their training institute.

November 24th-26th, 2022 CBRN Training with Guwahati Airport ( Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport)
|
National Disaster Management Authority in association with Airport Authority of India & Assam SDMA conducted a 3-day training on CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological & Nuclear) Emergency Management for the staff of Guwahati Airport (Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport) and its stakeholders.
➡CBRN emergencies pertain to threats emanating from Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear material. Apart from equipping the airport emergency handlers to handle CBRN emergencies, the training programme would also enable them to provide medical first aid and initial psycho-social support.
➡The training has brought various stakeholders like Airport Authority of India, National Disaster Management Authority, Airlines, CISF, State Police and other Departments of State Govt. of Assam on a common platform.

Senior Officials from National Disaster Management Authority held a meeting with the officers of the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India to discuss the way forward and action points on the National Project on Forest Fire Management.

November 21, 2022- Brainstorming session with the Insurance Institute of India (III)
|
National Disaster Management Authority organised a brainstorming session with the Insurance Institute of India (III) to discuss and deliberate upon synchronising relief assistance with crop insurance.
➡ The second recommendation by XV FC is to club the Crop Insurance Scheme for farmers ie. Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana(@pmfby) with SDRF/NDRF relief payouts.

November 18, 2022- CAP (Common Alerting Protocol) Mock exercise at Mizoram
|
A mock exercise was conducted by NDMA in conjunction with C-DOT on CAP-Integrated Alert System at Mizoram (Mizoram SDMA/ DM& R)
➡ The mock exercise was aimed at providing a platform to the concerned departments and various disaster management agencies across the state to discuss their underlying issues and challenges and evolve the technology-based solutions.
➡ The Common Alerting Protocol-based Integrated Alerting System is designed to bring together different Alerting Agencies e.g. IMD, CWC, INCOIS, DGRE and FSI on a single web-based platform and issue geo-specific alerts to the populace and response agencies.

November 15, 2022- Conduct of Multi-State Mock exercise on Earthquake for Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Nagaland
|
To enhance the preparedness for earthquake, National Disaster Management Authority held a tabletop exercise in a run-up to the Multi-State Mock Exercise (For the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Nagaland) on Earthquake for preparedness & coordination with Departments & other stakeholders. The mock exercise was conducted on the 17th of November 2022.

November 12, 2022- Visit to Tarapur Atomic Power Station, Maharashtra
|
National Disaster Management Authority team led by Shri Krishna S Vatsa, Member along with the other officials visited Tarapur Atomic Power Station, Maharashtra and reviewed the Emergency Preparedness Programme.
➡The team expressed satisfaction with the robustness of the emergency preparedness at the facility after discussions and deliberations with the management team of the Atomic Power Station.

Senior Officials of National Disaster Management Authority held an Orientation & Coordination conference for the Multi-State Mock exercise on earthquake in the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Nagaland (which was later held from 15th Nov- 17th November 2022).

November 1, 2022- On line Training on SFM and NDMIS
|
National Disaster Management Authority conducted an online training on Sendai Framework Monitoring (SFM) and National Disaster Management Information System (NDMIS).
To capture the data required for reporting Sendai Framework Targets under points A&D and common indicators of SDG related to disaster losses, Ministry of Home Affairs with the technical support of NIC developed the NDMIS Portal with a dedicated module for SFM reporting.
